Catwalk shows are changing - here's how.

The fashion world is changing.

Gone are the days of a simple catwalk show. More and more often, designers are pushing the envelope when it comes to creativity and putting together fashion shows that are complete works of art.

We've done a deep dive and found 5 shows for you to feast your eyes on. They all feature something different and have really leveled up the game!

Live musicians

Designer Tommy Ton had one goal in mind when it came to the SS20 Deveaux Show - he wanted people to leave feeling happy.

And I think, you'll agree that he definitely achieved that.

Throughout the show there is live music - there's even a marching band that makes an appearance - and the models are dancing and smiling, having a great time.

What a vibe!

Full theatrics

Issey Miyake is one creative man, and his shows have a reputation for being innovative and exciting.

In this FW20-21 Paris men's show, there is a bit of everything. There is acting, dancing, audience interaction, live music, and incredible sets.

Also, how amazing are the clothes!?

Acrobatics

Who doesn't love a bit of unique choreography?

The Marc Jacobs Fall 2020 show starts off with some acrobatics and slow movements, and then as the music intensifies, we see models running and dancing within the audience.

This is how you leave an impression!

Next level dancing

Some of the other shows have featured dancing, but none quite like this. In Juan Duyos' 2015 show, dancers from the National Ballet of Spain were featured wearing the collection and literally dancing it down the runway.

This one went viral all around the world - and we can see why!

Models on skateboards

We couldn't go past this show from Issey Miyake. As we said earlier, this is a designer who is known for their creative shows, and this show is certainly no exception.

There are literally models on skateboards!!!

Say no more!!

The prominence fo this level of creativity and theatrics within fashion shows means that models need to be more widely skilled than ever before.

They need to be able to walk, dance, and act (and maybe even play an instrument!).
